Yeah...the weather is changing for the "better".
Chilly, Windy, Rainy.oh-so-not-my-thing.
But im still surviving without an umbrella..
AND im working very hard on getting adapted to the weather here,
trudging around without a jacket & wearing shorts more often.
So that i will not suffer so much during winter,
cos' i really don't have that many clothings for the winter-to-come.
& i refuse to buy, just cos' i can't wear it back in SG.
save those moolah for more Singapore-friendly clothes.hehe
ahh i will survive with whatever i have=P

Anyways, today marked the end of orientation.
& oh my it was really a DIFFERENT experience.
NOTHING like an orientation I expected.
Totally different from any single one I attended before.
This is what we/they did:
Talks, Admin Stuff, Eat, Party..Talks..Party..Party..Party..
Yeah you get the idea.ha
I think partying is fun, no doubt.
But to that extent, its really pretty crazy!!!
Oh wells, I don’t have many photos of Orientation..
Either nothing much to take (talks, admin etc..),
Or bad lighting & busy getting entertained (parties)..

Orientation “hype” aside..some random (but long-awaited) pictures..

This is taken from the overhead bridge right behind my block. Yeah mine is the LAST block & the main road where the bus stop we frequent is all the way at the other end..Thank god for this overhead bridge, I HAVE A SHORTCUT TO SCHOOL!!!so i do not need to walk/cycle all the way out to the main road everyday..PLUS there is very much less vehicles & traffic lights along this shortcut, thus smoother journeys=D Wanling & I decided to venture out on this shortcut for the very first time last sunday..Just to make sure we know the way & not get lost on the very first day..So the bridge led us to these really pretty houses (1 of the 2 patriotic ones in the pic above), very much like those we see in close-knitted towns in English shows..The atmosphere & feeling I got was just so relaxing, cosey & comfortable..I learnt later (from my neighbour) that these little houses are actually Weekend-homes where the families just spend holidaying during the weekends (explaining the name)..Now i wonder, is land really cheap? Or are they simply rich? In any way i am not complaining, cos' i get to awe at them on my many-counting journeys to school=)JUST LOOK AT THIS!! Its like a little cottage in princess fairytales..me like!!! This is why walking 1hour plus to my destination in Denmark does not seem so much of a chore..Compared to in SG where i will whine & complain after walking for 20minutes(?)..I was just telling my friend, i really don't mind getting lost here, cos' i can take it as an opportunity to explore and go ga-ga over the brickish houses.. my third trip (already) to IKEA..& i FINALLY took pictures=)

3 trips to IKEA, 3 different routes/ways to get there..The 1st was the most straight forward, we took a bus that stopped directly outside IKEA.*proud smirk* The 2nd, we hopped onto the same bus, BUT it didn't get us to IKEA, cos' the bus does not stop at that particular stop on Sundays.WTH right? but we still managed to ask our way around & reached after a 15mins wait (for a bus that was NEVER going to come) & a 10-15mins walk. And then the 3rd time, was with the school, we were suppose to take the bus like everyone else, but decided to be adventurous and WALK there from school..We didn't think it wll be that far, but we were SO wrong..It was actually situated outside the city-area, so it cannot be found on our map!! We walked for about 1hour20mins through lunchtime..SUPER TIRED & HUNGRY!! Our tummies really deserved some good food after, as we rested our screaming-legs=D Maybe the 4th time will be another new experience? But not anytime soon=) Isnt my camera just good?hehe=P We took this ourselves..easy capturing the 5 of us (thanks to my camera's ultra wide screen=D), but not easy snapping the 5 of us with the full IKEA (that was on the top of the building)!! We are getting quite pro at this=P

Yes, these are long long awaited by some..& i have finally got down to taking some pictures of my room..so here they are.. First view from the main door
to the right i the little counter-top where i put my food related stuff..the cupboard above the counter is where i hide all my precious rations (maggi, instant sauce, milo, tea...)=P And on the left its another door that leads to my main room area.. First view of the toilet
Just beside my food counter, is the toilet!!=S But all my food is sealed la..so NO SMELL!!hehe And opposite my food counter is my clothes cupboard=)

Too cramp to get the full view..so on the right is the toile bowl, and on the left is the shower area..A really tiny toilet, but sufficient for me..At least no toilet-sharing/fighting/queueing..=P Shoes-off before entering the main area

See why its so difficult for me to get up every morning? Dosen't it looks comfy?! Oh and i turned the coffee-table to my beside-table, so convenient!! The standing lamp by my bed is left by the prev person who stayed..I think it will come in really useful when winter arrives!!=) My only-shelves
Basically everything that i use daily is here.. My work table
Study lamp left behind by prev person too=) I think my table will never look like this again when school starts!! I can just see papers and books strewn all over=P Oh and see my innovative idea to display the cards i got!! Pretty cool yea?

..since i left sunny ol' Singapore..

I don't deny that I am missing it petty much, but im not complaining about my life here (yet). Probably still at the stage of exploring & discovering new things in this little city of Denmark. Interesting how i pretty much didn't/haven't got lost in Aarhus..I guess the topo from Geography & Guides is useful afterall..Yeah my teachers should be proud of me!=D

So orientation is starting on Monday & i am excited=) Meeting other exchange students & making new friends..Not that i haven't talk to any new-bodies since i was here, but I am the ONLY exchange student on my floor, so everybody else is Danish & are staying/have stayed here for a year or so AT LEAST..So it will be nice knowing other people from othr countries (besides Denmark)..Had friendly conversations here & there, & i must say its pretty amusing to learn more about the country from them=) So yes. IM EXCITED FOR SCHOOL! something new coming from me yea?=P

So where have i been over the week or so? City, Ikea, My hostel area, the "beach", Bao's place..dosen't seem like alot, but somehow time here seems to FLY!! like seriously. We can just spend one whole afternoon on ONE street in the city..pace of life here is sooo much slower, people are so much more chillaxed, unlike scurrying-about Singaporeans..Oh wells, i guess it all boils down to culture..For now, i am still enjoying this relaxed pace..but i think after some time i will start missing the rushing-ways..Especially when it comes to schoolwork & projects, i can just imagine myself go "Oh come on..Lets hurry and get this done, so we can end meeting earlier!"..We shall see about that=)

..quite a couple of days ago actually=P

Anyways, here am i sitting in my little cosy chilly room in Snogebæksvej (Aarhus)..& my room is really pretty (except for a little mess here & there due to unfinished unpacking) with a comfy bed, huge study table, coffee table, 2chairs, etc..& MY PERSONAL TOILET!!!=D now showering is going to be so convenient, no packing of clothes, towel & toiletries all the way to a common toilet *phew*..

So anyways the first couple of days here have been great!! I had one helluva experience draggingkickingpushingpulling my 40+kg loot across roads/streets/rocky pavements..& up public buses & trains!! Yeah, IT WAS TIRING. We actually took 1hour plus to get to the student hostel when the walking time needed (without any burden) is 15mins! haha..People couldn't stop staring at us as we were struggling to lift the luggages up the steps of the buses & also the battle in the bus to stop our huge ass babies frm rolling all about...We just couldn't wait to get settled into our little rooms. And i am proud to say, We Made It!=)

Since our arrival, we have been settling all the necessary stuff..& everything have been pretty smooth so far!! Hmm maybe except for a couple of embarassing moments i had with my neighbours=P But honestly, i don't think thats anything new/surprising from me. Have yet to meet all my neighbours in proper though, cos' many of them have not shifted in/are away on hols..Till then i will introduce them here=)

So far I have been to only the city area, its just like a super huge & more sophisticated (many small streets & junctions) version of Clarke Quay!! Its really pretty!! I just love the architecture and landscapes=D I can just see myself going there real often in the weeks to come=) So tmr we will be venturing out further..we are going shopping at IKEA!!!=))) Final stop to get all my misc stuff for my little hut!!excited!!=DD

Anyways i am thinking of getting a bicycle to get around Aarhus, considering this place is really bicycle-friendly!! hmmm if Bao is not getting the bike from M's friend, most likely i will..We shall see!!!=) Transportation is really a paininthearse here, every SINGLE trip on the bus is AT LEAST 18DKK(~SGD5)!!! Darn blardy expensive right?! So now we are complaining about the rising fares in Singapore=S

I am too lazy to upload any photos today..so maybe tmr yeah? Honestly i have been the least diligent in taking any photos here [Anyway i will be here for 5 months la, can take anytime!=P]. So i should first share the farewell pics for now tmr.

Should sleep early, im still suffering from jetlag!!boooo.

I have been freakishly BUSY!!!
Zipping around, in & out of home.
I feel like Supersonic.HAHA.
I was hardly home for the past one week,
except for a couple (or more) of meals & minimal sleep!
Totally miss bumming around in my living room,
& teevee-watching with the family.
[5 months without it!!shucks.]
Don't get me wrong,
i am not complaining about my crazilypacked days.
In fact, i enjoyed every single one of them.
Gymming, Playing with the kids, Dental appointmnt, Sentosa-ing, Making new friends (Hi Luis & William!!!), Cooking, Ladies' Night, Picnicing, Blading, Playing cards, Prawning, Tuitioning, Buying new speckies (GEEKY!), Sisters outing...
Sometimes i wish each day can be more than 24hrs,
So i can enjoy the both of 2worlds, Family&Friends<3

For those who are wondering,
I STARTED PACKING ALREADY!!!
not alot, actually (very)far from done.
BUT I STARTED!hahaha
its better than nothing!!=P

Tonight is going to be one sleepless night.
I need to pack for Denmark (at least 80%),
AND for KL too!!!
Yeah, im leaving for KL tomorrow at 5AM(!!!!!!!!)..
& this is like a repeat of 3months ago,
I am returning from KL on Monday night,
& leaving for Denmark on Tuesday night!
So I need to get most of my stuff into the hugeass luggage,
before i start having a panic attack on Tuesday.
This time I am packing enough for a good 5months,
unlike the last which was only 12days!!!
& this time there is no Mummy&Daddy to cover me if i forget something=S
So...goodluck to me.HAHA

Oh.& on a different note,
Thank You to those who showered me with the lovely farewell gifts=D
& also to Joseph for the candle!!! Although I don't think its a farewell present (since i cannot bring it along), I still love it!! It is colourful & pretty!!Nice. BUT im still waiting for the note you owe me!!!=P

Bad Not good party experience.
ever felt totally out of place?
ever felt blardy left-out?
ever felt so insignificant, that even if you vanish, no one will realise?
ever felt so clueless & want to just cry in your friend's party?
I was feeling all-of-the-above last night.
Yes, this was how shytty i felt.

Then i question myself & my actions.
Why did i even bother to do/get anything?
I am like a nobody.
Why am i going all out to buy this friendship,
when the effort, the actions, the results, me..
EVERYTHING is seemingly unappreciated.
I know good things are never easy to get,
& i need to work for what i want.
But why is this particular one so mind&heart boggling?
Have I been planting my seeds under cemented ground?
Urgh. painful.

Anyways..
