no parents shuttling to & fro, jostling in & out..
no family gathering at grams..
just returned from the airport..
sent my parents & 12 other relatives off to china..
it is a
planned specially for grams by his children.
i want to go too!!but i got school:(:(
i think its just the airport atmosphere,
seeing people leave singapore soil..
i have the urge to pack up & leave too!!

Tuesday, September 16, 2008hardly can we find one single person who has the capabilityu to irritate the WHOLE class till no end..more often that not, even the not so well-liked has his/her clique in class. Big J is totally an exception.so a couple of (really) short snippets during class-time..
J: [picked up K's blackberry curve] what is this?!
K: it's a blackberry.
J: OHHH..can i eat it?
K: [stares with the "whatever face"] sure..it will be a very expensive meal though.

tiring weekend.why?
Monday, September 15, 2008honestly, i have no idea.
i am just tired.drained.
short updates:
FRIDAY
granny's birthday dinner was not too bad, both for food & company. although it was a little rush, but still, i got my fill & fun.our huge family now has 5 little ones, & one more coming!!its just great to see granny smile so widely, with everyone (almost) celebrating for her. great-grandchildren giving her her birthday kisses.blessed. just love the big family much!!<3
the usual girls (except that we have two less people now:S) then headed down to cathay for a movie.this is seemingly turning into a annual routine, we just can't get enough of one another:D haha..so after some drinks at "starbucks", we caught "MAMA-MIA". it was great i got to say.the songs were nice. so much that we were singing & humming them all the way back home (esp for karyee-jie-HAHA)!!
SATURDAY
went for the usual saturday tennis session. i actually beat the big sister in 2 games (out of...)! im still proud of myself, considering i really suck in tennis as compared to her!!*gulps*
oh i had a mid autum festival gathering at gerard's house.his house is so difficult to find!!terrible.ja suggested that he charter a bus to bring us in the next time..HAHA.but his house is really nice.really. & it was just wonderful catching up with everyone of them!!one more gathering soon guys!!!=P
SUNDAY
got woken up a tat early, because my mummy wanted to go m1 early to get me my new phone!!:D:D but before that we had to head to gram's & the temple.luckily my initial grouchiness died off. so according the m1 counter woman, i had 5 more days to wait so that i do not need to pay the extra $100 to upgrade. its JUST FIVE MORE DAYS, & she refuses to allow me to upgrade! does it matter or make a difference to her? yes, probably because i might consider changing my line to singtel/starhub, & so m1 loses one customer (who they earn alot from.totally.) because of her!! it definitely does matter to me, because i made a wasted trip there, & now i got to go back to m1 five days later?so dumb. anyways i just realised that singtel sells their phones at a slightly lower price as compared to m1. so maybe changing to singtel will not be such a bad idea afterall.thanks counterwoman.ha
anyways later in the day, i made a short trip to town..then popped by for mastery graduation.met some people that i have not seen in a really long time!!:)) oh & there were loads of food i must say (good luck trevor!!=P). mixed feelings after spending some time there,

thursdays are just long.
Friday, September 12, 2008thusdays is officially the longest day of my week.
5 hours of lessons
+ 1 hour of travelling time from school to tuition,
+ 2 hours of tuition,
+ 1 hour of travelling time from tuition to school,
+ 1 hour of pilates
total: 10 hours straight (10am to 8pm)
so this is going to be my thursday routine for now.
[although today was an exception]
while heading back to school from tuition just now, i decided to swing by LOT1 to get dinner (since by the time i get back to sheares, dinnertime will be over). so i decided to pay COTTON ON a visit, totally not surprising. & guess what?! I BOUGHT A TOP FOR $2!!!! YES, 2 friggin' BUCKS!!!!although its jus a long, plain white tank top & its super common, i could match it with anything..& whats more, its ONLY $2!!*prances around* ~cheap thrill~haha
anyways, on the side note,
my dearest cousin had registered me for..
Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2008!!

tickling fish.
Monday, September 8, 2008had a shot at "Dr. Fish" treatment with my mummy & big sister..supposedly to head down to suntec (from marina sq) to do some grocery shopping with my parents & big sister, when my sister mentioned that there was some "fishy treatment" somewhere in marina square. So the three ladies abandoned my daddy for the "fishy place".so poor thing.we did ask him along, but he didnt want, because somebody had to do the grocery shopping:S this is why i always say my daddy is the best daddy, & i always pray that i can find a guy just like him!!:D
anyways, my feet do look cleaner (i think.) & feel smoother (for sure.)..no idea why my mummy & sister didnt feel much of a diff..maybe cause my feet were the dirtiest to start with, so the difference was mroe obvious?i mean there had to be a reason why more fish were attracted to my feet than theirs!!no??*gulpsss* & it was super ticklish, especially when the tiny doctors treated the soles of my feet!!! but definitely not a bad experience.DR. FISH IS THE ONLY DOCTOR I AM NOT AFRAID TO VISIT AGAIN. & OFTEN!!:D
anyways when we were waiting for daddy in puma after that, i saw this really pretty jacket!! it was simply pretty..so my mummy saw me fiddling with it.& being my mummy, she knows me inside out, she knew that i have eyed the jacket.without any thought & probbing she went "do you want to get the jacket?".this is why i always say my mummy is the best mummy, she seem to be able to read my mind (like the zebra laptop incident), and pamper us to no end.practically giving us everything & anything we wanted (sometimes we do not even need to ask)!!:D just for the record, i did not get the jacket.*regrets*
anyways..
i am not sure if i should be looking forward to monday.
mixed feelings.
got dumbfounded (haha) by a question earlier.hmmm
i have got till monday night to give him an answer.
i am still considering.how?

what a week..
Friday, September 5, 2008im so glad that this week is coming to an end..
such a long tedious week..presentations, case competition, assignments..
im really glad that i managed to keep myself going,
despite the many late nights and endless pile of work..
sitting at my table every night, struggling to reduce the pile..
always so tempted to switch off, & do senseless surfing..
or simply get my mind off studying (& procrastinate).
but everytime i look up, all ready to drift into my wonderland..
something just snaps me back to "STUDY MODE"..
"something" is that little blue ball which sits comfortably on my table.
its a gift from xingyan & xiuli just before exams last sem.
its nothing big & grand.
its just a simple ball, with simple words.~"BABA, study hard!"
its probably a "nothing" to everyone else.
but....
its definitely a "something" for me.
something meaningful.
something which kept me going through the wee hours of the night.
something which shows me how much my friends care.

little gifts like that really put a smile to my face no matter how horrible the day is..

(also during exam period last sem)

ohh wells..
so if you read my last entry, i was grunting about the wrong (lan) cable that i bought..
it was not so wrong afterall.*hmmmm
it was more of the ditzy me kicking in, trying to fit it into the phone-line hole instead.
so of course it couldn't fit.duh.
& i just happily concluded that i had the wrong cable!!
there isnt even a right/wrong one to begin with *GULPSSS*
so how did i even discover my "misunderstanding " of the cable?
ANS: a small-chat with the IT guy in the school CO-OP
so this was roughly how the conversation went (after he handed me a lan cable i asked for):
ME: "this looks like the one i bought alr!!but mine couldnt fit in!!is this the only one??"
IT guy: "im sure this is the correct one, cus im using this exact same cable at home!!"
ME: "hmmm is there any chance that there different sizes?cus i rmb the hole being much smaller than this"
IT guy: "errrrr..i don't think so..i think there is only one standard size for this..(blank face)"
i surely made that poor guy confused..hahaha.
so anyways..that kinda gave me the hint that maybe i did something wrongly..*blehhhhh*
i came back later in the night, to realise my mistake!!
i can't believe it, i actually stayed here for two nights,
thinking that i got no internet, but i had a LAN CABLE sitting on my shelf!!*ditzzzz*
